REGE 13 APR 88,
No. 36.
Sir J. Walsham to the Marquis of Salisbury.-(Received April 2.)
(No. 6. Very Confidential.)
My Lord,
Peking, February 4, 1888.
I HAVE the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Lordship's Confidential despatch No. 120 of the 11th November last.
I had previously received from Mr. Consul Alabaster a duplicate of the document which accompanied your Lordship's despatch, and purports to be a copy of the final decisions of the Franco-Chinese Boundary Commissioners, as accepted by the Chinese Government, with regard to the line of frontier between Tonquin and the three Chinese provinces of Yunnan, Kuang-si, and Kuang-tung.
